# Testing

## Configured tooling
- **PHPUnit** `^11.5` (dev dependency); the **Pest** plugin is allowed (`pestphp/pest-plugin` in `allow-plugins`).
- `mockery/mockery`, `fakerphp/faker`, `nunomaduro/collision`.
- `composer test` → `php artisan config:clear` then `php artisan test`.

## Test seams in the codebase
- **`FakeModelProvider`** — the agent runtime can run against a fake model provider (`config/agent_runtime.php` provider `fake`), enabling deterministic agent tests without calling Anthropic.
- **Testing endpoints** — `testing/*-scenario` routes exist, guarded by `config/agents.php` (`AI_AGENT_TESTING`).
